Winding Through Indiana
We drove up to Michigan City and donated money to the Blue Chip Casino. I should say the hubby donated to the casino and I donated to the Outlet Mall. I got a couple pair of crop pants and a new top. Now I have a few new things to wear this summer.
While Lynn was in the casino, I drove around Michigan City and ran right into the Indiana Dunes. I forgot that we were that close. I think we need to make another trip and go to the Dunes for a picnic.
Then I drove around the Indiana State Prison. That was interesting. It is pretty old and looks like a set for a movie.
Then I drove through some residential areas that had beautiful large homes. They were well taken care of and had beautiful landscaped yards.
When we were coming home we got to LaPorte and had to take a detour. The town was having a parade. We never did find out what the parade was celebrating. We tried to follow the detour signs and wound up in a bank parking lot. We weren’t the only ones who were making circles in the bank’s parking lot. LOL We continued on our way as we guessed which way to turn and hoped we were making the right choices. We finally found the highway again and continued home. It only took us an hour longer. Our poor dogs were ready to get outside by the time we got home.

At least your donation was not wasted. LOL

It seems you had an interesting trip. I had a chance to make a music video in a very old prison here. The experience was a bit scary though.
