My surfing around the travel sites on the web has piqued my interest in traveling to somewhere unusual. I checked out my favorite travel website, Hotel Reservations and planned a wonderful vacation.
The first thing I did was pick a place. I had never heard of Belgique. I thought it would be interesting to check it out. I was pleasantly surprised to find that Belgique is Belgium. Belgium is a beautiful country in northwest Europe bordered by the Netherlands, Germany, Luxembourg, and France, with a short coastline on the North Sea. It is known as the cafe to Europe. That sounds very quaint. I am looking for a restful place to unwind.
I wanted a true feel for the country and so I picked The Hotel Du Congres. This beautiful hotel is located in Brussels and spans four 19th century townhouses. This hotel is well-located just one kilometre from both the Grande Place (the main square) and the European Parliament. The location will let me walk to the venues I am interested in seeing. The 67 renovated guest rooms are elegantly designed with high ceilings, dark wood furniture and white and cream fabrics. All come with private bathrooms, telephones, satellite televisions and hair dryers, and have views over the street or garden.
The Hotel Reservation website tells me that this hotel is only 20 minutes from the airport. That will mean a short taxi drive to my hotel and on with my relaxing vacation.
Hotel Reservation is so easy and fun to use. They have all sorts of valuable information to help you plan a great trip. The rates at Hotel Reservation are very competitive and they also offer discounts on trips to world wide destinations.
Check with Hotel Reservations when planning your next vacation or business trip. They take the hassle out of travel.

Before planning a trip, you should check out what is happening with the weather.
There are several websites you can utilize to stay safe. One is the [tag]National Hurricane Center[/tag].
I just saw this article on their website and thought, “Oh my goodness. I would want to know this if I was preparing to travel in that area.”
The National Hurricane Center says a tropical depression has strengthened into [tag]Tropical Storm Chanta[/tag]l in the open [tag]Atlantic[/tag].
The storm is moving northeast at about 23 mph.
The threshold for a tropical storm is sustained winds of 39 mph. When those winds reach 74 mph, it becomes a hurricane.
The storm had maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and was centered about 330 miles south of [tag]Halifax, Nova Scotia[/tag], according to the National Hurricane Center.
The storm was expected to grow stronger but “as a tropical system it has a very short life ahead of it,” said James Franklin, a senior hurricane specialist with the Hurricane Center.
There were two previous named storms in 2007: Subtropical Storm Andrea, which formed in May, and Tropical Storm Barry, which formed June 1, the first day of hurricane season.

My Mom just flew to Washington State on [tag]Northwest Airlines[/tag]. When I saw this headline it caught my attention.
Northwest Airlines has seen an increase in the number of [tag]canceled flights[/tag] once again, a condition that the pilots union is blaming on management for not having enough staffing, and which the airline charges is due to a spike in pilots calling in sick starting this past Friday.
The airline says that from Friday through Sunday about 8 percent of its scheduled flights were canceled. Statistics from tracking service FlightStats puts the canceled total a bit higher — 526 out of 4,187 scheduled flights during that period for about 12.6 percent.
As I read into the article, I gathered that because of the shortage of pilots, due to hiring not that there aren’t enough pilots. The pilots cannot fly because they have put in the maximum allowed hours or are too fatigued to fly.
I don’t want a [tag]tired pilot[/tag] flying me anywhere.
I think the issue needs to be looked into and some changes need to be made.
A friend from Georgia had traveled here to Indiana last week. She told me how strict she found the security in Atlanta. It sounded to me as if something was happening and they were trying to avoid a problem. I am glad they use precaution at our airports. She was a bit inconvenienced and worried that she might miss her flight but all turned out well. Be sure to get to the airport early like she did.
I’ve been asked to look over a fellow blogger’s blog and see what I think. I can’t believe I’ve never run across How To Grow Your Blog Traffic before! It comes at just the right time because I am getting a bit frustrated at the lack of visitors to this blog.
I see that the posts are varied but very interesting. I have mixed emotions about a niche blog vs one that covers a lot of different topics. I prefer the later. The first post I read was about increasing your income by knowing what you want and it was followed by the request that if you like the post you could buy the writer a beer. That cracked me up because it fit right in with how to increase your income. Yep, have other people spend their money on you. LOL
I was shocked when I read the post that said removing MyBlogLog widget was better for your blog. You can read the post to see the reasons. It is interesting. I’m going to have to test the theory.
The blog itself is very clean, which I prefer. I hate a blog with all kinds of buttons and badges. I want to read what a person has to say. Not see the latest guru button.
So, my opinion of this blog is pretty good. I think it has a lot to teach me and I will be putting it in my feed reader.

I am never afraid to drive in the city. The hustle and bustle actually makes me thrilled to be a part of its action. My husband rolls his eyes when I gleefully state how much fun I’m having. He hates traffic.
There is just so much to do in a city! At night it is fun to sit in a hotel room and watch out the window. How’s that for cheap entertainment. This beautiful hotel in Hualalai, Hawaii would be the one I would pick a window from.
I’m waiting for survey of favorite cities to be tallied. The survey launched on April 30, and the magazine asked visitors and locals to rate major destinations in a variety of categories, from people and culture to shopping and dining. I want to see if I agree and if I’ve been to any of them.

I am getting excited about attending the Women of Faith Conference! My favorite comedian, Chonda Pierce will be there. Patsy Clairmont and many other great speakers will be there. My friend Tina and I are going as well as 19 other women from our church. I have never been to a Women of Faith Conference but I have heard good things about them. I’m sure I will have a blast.
I just read in my [tag]Southern Gospel Music[/tag] magazine, that there is going to be a big gathering of southern gospel groups in [tag]Mt. Airy[/tag], North Carolina. Towards the end of September, [tag]bluegrass[/tag] and southern gospel groups will descend on Mt. Airy in time for the [tag]Mayberry Days Festival[/tag]. [tag]Jeff and Sheri Easter[/tag] will be recordinbg a new live video while performing in Mt. Airy on September 28, 2007. I wish I could be there. The event will be so much fun.
