Sweet Surprise
My friend was telling me that she and her husband will be celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary soon. They are honoring the occasion with a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands. I am so excited for them!
We went to Hawaii to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. The way my husband told me we were going to Hawaii was so cool. He went to a lot of trouble to present the trip to me in a romantic way.
We went to Olive Garden a few months before our anniversary and had a nice dinner. Our son, Greg, was with us. Lively conversation ensued and we had a great time. My hubby said he needed to go to the restroom or something. I really do not remember what excuse he gave to leave the table at that moment. Off he went. When he returned, he had a long floral box. The type of box in which roses are kept.
I opened the box and there was a beautiful lei inside. It was made of fresh flowers of every color in the rainbow. It smelled heavenly. When I lifted the lei out of the box, there were two tickets in the bottom of the box. We were going to Hawaii!
I love the way Lynn took the time to make it special. He had our local florist make the lei. That guy was thrilled. He had never been asked to do that! I was thrilled.
We had a wonderful trip and I hope to go back some day. Maybe I’ll get to meet my friend, Skeet, in person!

Love may easily come and go
But pray that romance stays
When lasting marriage is the goal
Let’s pray that kindness never strays
