Getting Back
When we stay at our favorite bed and breakfast in Nappanee, it is like being at home. I always sleep so sound. Sharon, the owner, sits and talks with us like we are old friends. I have not been able to go to the annual festival in Nappanee for two years! I really miss it and Sharon.
She fixes the most yummy breakfasts. She has made a french toast recipe that I would love to have. It is like a stuffed french toast. She always serves fresh fruit and makes special trips to the grocery to find what is in season. One summer we were served raspberries. Those were very special.
She makes a pudding dessert that she serves in ice cream glasses. The tall glasses that milk shakes are served in is what she uses to make this special treat. She starts with vanilla wafers in the bottom and then some pudding. She then layers fruit and more pudding. It is the most yummy concoction. I came home one year and made it for my family. They felt very special!
It is fun to get away and stay with Sharon. I need to check my calendar and get back there.
