Highway One
A while back, my family, along with my two sisters and their families, took a road trip up the Pacific Coast Highway. My parents lived in California at the time and we had gone out for a visit. Mom and Dad had a large motorhome that had a lot of room and comfort. We hopped into the motorhome and took off. My Dad was driving and if you take a look at that picture, you can see why I spent part of one day in bed with a migraine. Highway 1 is too close to the edge for me.
We visited Hearst Castle, a gold mining town and saw the beautiful redwood forest on that trip. I hope the kids remember what they experienced. We had a great time.

There are few drives that I like more than the one down Hwy1 in Big Sur….breathtaking. However, it would be a hard drive in a big R.V!!! Narrow roads and twisty turns!
