Quilts Galore
It sounds like next year, mom and I will be attending the yearly quilt show in Paducah, Kentucky. A friend of ours attended the second week of April and had a blast. She went on and on about all the sales and the wonderful bargain prices on fabric.
The AQS Quilt Show is held in multiple venues – the Paducah Expo Center, Julian Carroll Convention Center and JR’s Executive Inn, all located at One Executive Blvd. in downtown Paducah.
The American Quilter’s Society Annual Quilt Show & Contest makes Paducah a mecca for quilters and quilt enthusiasts each April.
In addition to the juried exhibit of the finest workmanship and most creative quilts in the world, the festival features a merchant mall, workshops and special events throughout the community. Anyone care to join us?

I wish that I could do somethig creative and constructive with my hands like quilt or even sew. My mother and grandmother both have sewing skills, and my mother can crochet. I did learn how to knit a little by reading a book. You just do see too many people doing those things anymore.
