As far as getting over my disappointment, I intend to hold a grudge against my child probably for the next decade, refusing to drive her where she wants to go, preparing all kinds of foods she hates, and making her dress in hand-me-downs and garbage bags. Don’t you think I’m entitled after having been snubbed by my own daughter? Sheesh — what an ungrateful character. Can’t imagine where she learned it.
