St. Louis Sites
Hubby and I spent the weekend near St. Louis. What an awesome city! We plan to return and check out some of the sites. I would like to visit the St. Louis Zoo. We passed a few signs for casinos that I am sure hubby would like to check out.
St Louis is a great city, lots of things to see and do. Our daughter just recently moved back there. She did her undergrad there and really fell in love with the city. Did her grad school for 2 years in Baltimore and wanted to return to St. Louis. We’re looking forward to visiting her there. I love the history museum in Forest Park. It’s awesome, the botanical gardens are fabulous…think we’ve been there 2 or maybe 3 times over the years. Haven’t done the zoo, but then our zoo here in Columbus is considered the best in the country so we probably will pass it by there.
Love eatting in Little Italy, and Dogtown and the Central West End.

Forgot, wanted to ask you a question. I’ve been noticing a few folks with the comment like you have comments closed after such and such a date…why do people do that? I’m curious.

Hi! I’m from St. Louis. The zoo is awesome and it’s FREE. Park on the street (also free) because you have to pay to park in the lot that’s adjacent to the zoo. Also, you can get into the children’s zoo for free before 10am (I think). Bring water bottles for drinks and snacks to eat. Of course, they make money on their concessions! It’s a very popular zoo and it’s wonderful. Such a delight that it’s free. If you’re looking for other things to visit or see in St. Louis just email me because I’ve done just about everything there. I can tell you the cheap/free days to go too!

Thanks for the offer! I will be taking you up on your suggestions for places to go. I already told my son and his wife about visiting the free zoo. Money is tight while he is in law school.

Amazing city with a lot of good places to go. I and my brother spend a week their last July and we enjoy the views and night life there. A lot of good things happens there so I would dare my big bro to come back in St. Louis next summer.
